数一数：图中有多少个长方形？

怎么数呢？要讲究数的策略和顺序。

可以将整个图形看成十字形。那我们就先看那一“横”。它由两行组成，每行中由4个小长方形拼成。这两行又可以拼成一大行，所以一共是三行。先数出一行是多少？4+3+2+1=10（个）

那么“一横”中共有长方形：10×3=30（个）

同样道理，那“一竖”中也有30个长方形。

但总数并不是60个，想想为什么？

因为“横”与“竖”中有公共的部分，一个“田字形”，这里面的长方形被重复统计了。那么“田字形”共有多少个长方形呢？

继续用前面的数法，可知田字形有长方形的个数是：(2+1)×(2+1)=9（个）

在前面数出的60个长方形中，这9个长方形重复算了一次，所以图中长方形的实际个数是：60-9=51（个）
