Hannah Lyson was a young blogger with beauty and brains, but her bravery is what she will be remembered for.

The 20 year old blogger had been chronicling her battle with bowel cancer, since her diagnosis last May. After a year long battle, Lyson’s family has confirmed that she passed away at their family home.

Throughout her short battle, Lyson remained confident that she would win. She even shaved her beautiful locks off before the cancer treatment stole them away from her. The tributes began to flood in for the blogger that inspired so many.

Michelle Henriksen wrote: “Such an inspirational and brave, young lady.”

Liz Annison added: “Only the good and beautiful are taken too soon.”

Her family published a statement on her Facebook page in honor of Lyson.

“Hannah fought so hard to get well but it wasn’t to be. We are all so proud of her & we will continue her work to raise awareness that you’re never too young.”

Lyson’s death is especially tragic. Things were looking up for her when doctors discovered that her tumors were shrinking. However, in her final Faceook post, Lyson revealed that the chemotherapy had stopped working and the prognosis wasn’t good.

“I don’t have the effort or ability right now, but sadly today we’ve been given the worst news imaginable,” she wrote. “The doctors have decided there’s no more chemo for me and the liver is winning this fight and I am losing.”
