本港国际台介绍

ATV WORLD 香港亚洲电视 ATV本港国际台 国际台（aTV16，英语：aTV World）是香港亚洲电视有限公司的电视频道，每天播出约22小时，以英语为主，亦有少数普通话、日语及韩语节目。

亚洲电视国际台在1957年5月29日成立，前身为丽的电视英文台及亚洲电视钻石台，在1989年2月13日更改至现时名称，沿用至今。在1999年，国际台为了配合市场及观众而重新定位，播放电影及剧集之外，提供生活时尚、科技新知、社会时事等娱乐资讯节目，并藉此可减低运作成本；国际台的重新定位也是为了减低采购节目的成本，和吸引高收入及高教育水平之观众。在2002年，亚洲电视获中国国家广电总局批出牌照，批准 亚洲电视本港台及亚洲电视国际台正式落地广东省珠三角地区，成为首个落地国内的境外免费电视台。
