鉴赏：原诗的作者已不可考。原诗大意是说：园中青青的葵树，沐浴着阳光雨露。春阳普照大地，万物欣欣向荣。只怕秋天到了，再绿再茂的叶儿花朵也要枯萎。阳光就像东流水，一去不再回头。少壮的时候不努力向上，到了老大才追悔也无济于事了。现今常用“少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲”两句诗，来勉励年轻人好好把握时光，以免年华消逝，后悔莫及。

青青园中葵，朝露待日晞。

阳春布德泽，万物生光辉。

常恐秋节至，焜黄华叶衰。

百川东到海，何时复西归？

少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲！
