两高日前发布了办理危害食品安全刑事案件司法解释。这一司法解释不仅从严量刑，规定对利用地沟油加工食用油等犯罪行为最高可判死刑，而且明确了适用标准，扩大了适用范围，确定了与食品安全相关的渎职、虚假广告等罪刑，从而增强了保障食品安全的法律体系的威慑力和操作性。

　　有的地方在查处问题食品时，仅仅是捣毁、销毁、罚款了事，使生产者违法犯罪成本远低于收益，此种做法无异于纵容犯罪。治乱需用重典。用好法律利剑，发挥法治威力，方能有力阻击问题食品，还民众一张“干净的餐桌”。
