仔细观察上图，不难发现，正方形的边长，恰好就是圆的半径，它是不知道具体数值的，题中标注为r。那么正方形的面积可以用r²来表示，而圆的面积可以用πr²来表示，这样一对比，就可以发现，原来在这种位置关系下，圆的面积正好是正方形面积的π倍。

根据这个倍数关系，我们可以直接利用圆的面积是正方形面积的π倍（约为3.14倍），且正方形面积为4cm²，列式算出圆的面积为：3.14×4＝12.56（cm²）。
