出处：春秋《诗经·卫风·木瓜》

鉴赏：他送我鲜桃，我以琼瑶还报他。这其中的意义并不真是为了还报，而是表示永远与他相好。琼琚、琼瑶、琼玖：都是指佩玉。这是一首情人间相互赠答的诗。后人常用“投我以木桃，报之以琼瑶”两句诗，来表示自己对他人盛情的回报。

原诗：

投我以木瓜，报之以琼琚。匪报也，永以为好也。

投我以木桃，报之以琼瑶。匪报也，永以为好也。

投我以木李，报之以琼玖。匪报也，永以为好也。
